Metallopolymer tube

Polymer tube, reinforced by a rigid steel cage, which is welded in all points of intersection of longitudinal and transverse elements. The tube cage is insulated with a polymer from the external and internal environment.
The metal cage provides resistance qualities close to those of steel tubes. Polymer coating provides chemical resistance and durability.
Metallopolymer tubes are the best potential structural elements for modern pipelines.
The performance characteristics of metallopolymer tubes allow solving the problem of accident rate of field pipelines, technological and other pipeline systems. The use of metallopolymer tubes makes it possible to reduce the cost of repair and restoration of pipelines for the entire period of their operation by several times.
The experience of using metallopolymer tubes at uranium mining fields by technique - underground leaching proved the absolute impermeability of metallopolymer tubes and joint units, resistance to compression of the tube under the influence of rock pressure at depths up to 780 m, resistance of casing tubes to strong acids and accident-free well operation over the entire period of exploitation.

The most powerful economic indicators were received when constructing the country's oil fields. Metallopolymer tubes were first installed at the country's oil fields in 1994 at the Dyurtyulinskoye field of Bashneft. Corrosion inhibitors were used for 2.5 months to 3 years on steel tubes in that field, and metallopolymer tubes showed no adverse changes after 12 years of operation. Besides, samples were cut from the operating pipeline after 12 years of service and the tests showed that the indicators do not differ from the quality indicators of the newly produced tube. As reported by TNK-BP, the annual cost of corrosion-resistant treatment, repairs, and rehabilitation of the produced water pipelines of one oil and gas production unit consisting of 50 wells amounts to $10 million. The use of metallopolymer tubes will make it possible to reduce such costs many times over.

THE ADVANTAGES OF USING METALPOLYMER TUBES

Due to their sufficient strength and resistance to corrosive environments, metalpolymer tubes make it possible to replace more expensive stainless steel and titanium tubes.

Considerably higher service life of metalpolymer tubes compared to metal tubes.

Metalpolymer tube does not require anti-corrosion treatment, painting and cathodic protection against corrosion.

This saves costs for maintenance and does not require energy costs when operating the pipelines.

Metalpolymer tubes are up to 3 times lighter than metal tubes, so when laying pipelines require less use of special machines.

The shiny polymer surface of metalpolymer tubes allows for 20-70% more transportation compared to metal tubes.

Metallopolymer tubes makes it possible to increase the operating pressure in the pipeline by 4-5 times compared with conventional plastic tubes. Increased working pressure allows the use of tubes with a diameter of 2-3 times smaller, which leads to saving costs for the construction of the pipeline.

Metalpolymer tubes are welded, thereby reducing the risk of depressurization of socket connections.

Metalpolymer tubes are 4 times more resistant to wear and tear than metal tubes.
